Fall
As the days get a little cooler, the slight chill awakens the hillsides and a symphony of colors greets visitors at every turn. There is nothing like fall in the Mad River Valley, with maples ablaze, along with neighboring beech, oak, and birch to create stunning palates of red, orange, and yellow. Every day is a new scene and a new reason to marvel. The activities are just as much fun as during the summer, as this is still an ideal time to hike, play golf, hit a tennis ball, mountain bike, or just stroll along a dirt road. Some say that fall in the Valley is something everyone needs to experience at least once in a lifetime. The thing is, many of those who have experienced it once, keep coming back for more.
